For the first time since the event’s inception in 2013, Pet Projects International (PPI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Mathers as Group Festival Director of the Dog
Lovers Festival and Cat Lovers Festival.

“Paul brings more than 25 years’ experience to the business as an Event Director across sales, marketing and operations, with highlights including the Melbourne Home Shows,
National 4×4 Show and Motorclassica,” says Pet Projects International CEO and CoFounder, Jason Humphris.

“The appointment marks his return to large-scale consumer events, having most recently managed the Power + Utilities Australia conference and expo, and we look forward to seeing the new energy and perspective that Paul will bring to our incredible team”.

“As both a dog and cat owner, I’ve always held these events in high regard and know that Jason and the team have worked hard to grow them into successful, market leading events
in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane,” says Mathers. “It’s a testament to the strength of the Dog and Cat Lovers Festivals as they weathered the difficult times during Covid shutdowns and have come out the other end and ready for the next step in their evolution. I’m genuinely excited by that challenge and opportunities ahead”.

Mathers officially assumed his role at Pet Projects International in July 2024.
